So as you know the backyard is a BIG work in progress and I have not been able to work back there in a couple weeks. Before I left for my trip this past weekend I went back there to check on a few things and discovered something strange amongst the weeds.
I know it is hard to tell from this camera phone shot but it looks and smells like a tomato plant!!!! What the heck? I did not put that there!!! Now I have a couple theories on how it got there the first of which is aliens! Aliens from the planet Tomatus to be exact...you say tow-may-tus, I say tow-mah-tus :) It had to be them and if it was them I am sad that they did not bring their friends from neighboring planet, Weedsbegone!!! One of my other theories is that our friendly neighborhood flock of wild parrots dropped (or pooped) the seeds into the backyard. Hmmm...seems possible right? Well whoever or whatever put it there I thank you and I have transplanted it to a container to see if I can get a good root system on it so it will be a nice addition to the farm.
